Welcome to Spring break!!

We made it to this point in the year, it's hard to believe!

I want to thank all the parents who came out for the race for education. It was a hit and I am so very proud of our students. The Lord blessed us with a beautiful sun shiny day!

Have a great break and I will see you all in 12 days, bright and early Monday!

Tomorrow is our Ethiopian Chapel. We have spent the past few days writing Ethiopian chidren letters. Most of these children are orphans or come from families with little money. Please send at least $1 with your child to school, if they bring their $ they can wear jeans. All the money and letters will be sent to the children. I am so excited to send this off. I met a lot of the children when I was in Ethiopia and they will love it. A lot of the children want to go to school but can't afford it so we can help. If everyone in the school brings at least $1 we can support 3 children for 1 year to go to school! Please feel free to come to chapel tomorrow at 9:00am. One student from each class will be sharing what they have learned from this experience and also Ethiopia. We will also have a slide presentation of the people in Ethiopia. I hope your children share with you what they see tomorrow. Please ask them!

I hope many of you heard about Ethiopia from your children. We learned and studied it during African-Market Day time.

We have chapel once a month and so this month we are focusing on Ethiopia children. The primary cluster is going to have each child write a letter to an Ethiopian child.
We will also be raising some money to send to them as well. We are also working on sending them a picture of our class for them to see!

More to come on this

We have a lot to do in pre-k. March is going to be full with new learning tools getting ready for K. We started off with the first 2 days of March with NO school but from here on out we are in school for a good long while. I realize it is hard to miss so many days in a row, Feb. was very short due to so many days off! I am excited to see how much we can get done before Springbreak!

Apple Seed Visitors

Today was a special day, hopefully your children filled you in. We all had name tags and had special visitors in our class. We had Ms. Glenda which was great since they already know who she is. Ms. Glenda was able to spend time talking with the students and learn what they do during "work" time. We also spent time thanking her for her giving heart. We gave her a picture of our class with a magnet on the back so she can put it up to remember us.
